The Wine Cellar, a location with one of the highest casualty rates and the best item drops in the entire game, it is the end of fate for the inexperienced and pathway to wealth for others.
Ranged classes are preferred, able to inflict damage from far away as long as there is a hole in the shield of minions. Ninjas, Wizards, Necromancers, Huntresses, Assassins and Archers have abilities that inflict damage on a target through the shield, giving them more opportunities to do damage.
If you are a knight, you can stun Oryx 2 by simply circling him clockwise inwards, if you are circling counter-clockwise then you are risking yourself rushing into Oryx 2 when you get hit by a confuse star, when you are close enough, stun him and back off, you never know if you missed the stun or not, if you do stun him, continue to chain stun him until you are out of stuns, and back off 2 seconds or so before the last stun wears off.
if you are a melee class, wait for a knight to stun Oryx 2 then start to attack him, count how much time has passed after the last stun and back off before the last stun wears off
Be careful and opportunistic. Try to stay just a bit away from the main crowd of players, where most of Oryx’s barrage is going to be aimed at. Move a little to the side where you can be helped if you run into trouble, yet can immediately move in and deal damage if you find a gap in the shield.
When Oryx begins chasing you upon reaching below 22,500 hp, be grateful. Any of the classes using Staves or Wands can actually hit Oryx without themselves getting hit while backing up. Easy damage. Be careful of the big white stars he shoots, these inflict weak for a whole minute.
Players begin on 2 ends of the map; which is shaped like a maze; and progress through a bunch of enemies which inflict a range of status effects on you. Watch out for Slow and Confuse because these 2 hinder you the most. Yet still reaching Oryx 2 itself is fairly easy, given the fact that the enemies you encounter are mainly stationary. Almost any character can rush this unique dungeon with obviously the utmost care. Don’t be afraid to Nexus, its better to live and try again next time.
Upon reaching Oryx 2, you will find the fight to be completely different than from the Castle:
This dungeon is one of the few places where the priest shines (many say it has become dull because of the introduction of pets). The best setup for this dungeon is the most expensive, sadly. A priest with Def and Speed maxed, Recompense and Crystal Wand, Holy Guidance, Purification/Geb Tome and six mp pots the priest is one the first to O2. The trick is to buff yourself with the speedy of Guidance and keep up that buff(with maxed speed and buff you have 110 speed). If you get confused or slow switch to puri/Geb and purify yourself, switch back and keep on going. Once you get to Oryx turn on that autofire and shoot towards that quest window. If you get weakend, purify. Once he stops spawning his minions switch to crystal wand and just keep shooting.
The archer’s niche isn’t so much the rushing part as the fight against O2 Himself. To get to O2 you have two options: The First or the Safe. For the first method fill up your inventory with Speedy Sprouts and keep ‘em going. The issue with this method is if you get confused you will get sent careening into a possible ball of monsters. The other method is the safe method. The benefit of this method is the trip to O2 is much less risky, but your loot chances are decreased. Once you get to Oryx switch to your Doom bow and Fire at will. But FIRST! Remember to keep up the paralyze with your quiver. Around 6 shots with Golden quiver will get you soul-bound damage in, and 4 shots with Doom Bow will get your soulbound in as well. But hey, why not both!
The Assassin was practically built for Wine Cellars, except for your dagger, your dagger is useless. The hardest part for this class would be the rush to O2. The best technique, the same as the archer, would be to use speedy sprouts in your inv. Just keep the speed buff up and run like your going to die, because you will if you stop. Once at just throw all the poison you got at him. It has been said that 2 uses of Nightwing Venom will get you soulbound. Just be careful, don’t get to greedy and get to close to Oryx because he can/will pop you.
Note: Be careful if you go in with your dagger, you will be in so close that you won’t have much time to react if Oryx decides to shoot at you.
The Ninja, a class that has received the most hate out of any of the classes. The Ninja is a combination of the Priest and Archer. The Ninja’s Star is one of the best abilities to get through the rush of the Wine Cellar (if you have a good MP heal pet you can run for over 30 seconds if your mana bar is full). Just bring a T0 Star and six mp pots and you will most likely be the first one to O2 (with your speed maxed and your speed buff you have 120 speed) The Ninja’s set best set is also one of the cheapest, if you have some riches that is. (T12 Katana ≈ 1 life, T6 Star ≈ 1 Life, T12 Armor 4-6 Def) but don’t get me wrong, you don’t have to bankrupt yourself to get the best equipment. It is just the better stuff you have the better your survivability and soulbound chances. Once you get to Oryx switch to your high tier star and wait till most of O2’s Minions are dead, then smash your ability button till you see him die. If four of your stars hit Oryx then you should get soulbound. Be careful if you want to use your Katana as your time to react if he tries to shotgun you is diminished.
