Why & How to find a Mad Lab

Why

Conducting WandScepter of FulminationRobe of the Mad ScientistExperimental RingWine Cellar IncantationPotion of DefensePotion of Wisdom

To get rich, of course. The scariest minions can drop para rings and the boss and secret boss can drop pieces of the Sorcerer set which rare and potent. Wisdom potions drop 100% of the time, while Defense potions drop sometimes.

How

Flying Brain

In Godlands, the Flying Brains, the pink gods, drop Mad Labs. The Mad Lab has a low drop rate, but the main problem is that Flying Brains have a low spawn rate.

Navigating through the dungeon

Navigating through this dungeon is really real simple. With every room you enter, all you do is get in, make something mad shoot at it, and hope you don't get lag. Try to clear every single room before you go to fight the boss - there are 3 reasons to do so:

  1. Weeds out all the people who don't belong in a dungeon this difficult.
  2. Helps you get to the secret boss so much faster.
  3. Most people leave after they have killed Dr. Terrible. (more loot for you) It is because people leave so much that you want to take advantage of their existence while they are still there, so try and clear the whole dungeon before the main boss fight.

When you clear a room also shoot every single white box - these are the Tesla coils. If you destroy every single one in the dungeon you will open the secret room where the second boss is. Once you have done all that you are ready to fight the Boss(es). There are two other things you should know. Firstly, that the green acid turns you into an animal which makes it so you can shoot but it makes you extremely fast, great for running away. (while an animal you can still use abilities which don't fire bullets, making this state great for an unmaxed priest who just wants to help out) Secondly, in every Mad Lab there is an acid room, each different from the last in design. You have to dodge confusion shots and get past the room with out falling into the acid which is just slightly weaker lava.

Enforcer Bot 3000

Enforcer Bot

These are dangerous because of their massive damage output, combined with the Mini Bots they spawn when they die. These guys shoot two different shotguns, a long range one dealing 150 per shot, and a short range one dealing 60 per shot. When they die they spawn 1-4 Mini Bots to fight, these Mini Bots just might confuse you right into another vengeful Enforcer Bot.

Crusher Abomination

Crusher Abomination

These are probably the most intimidating monster in the dungeon. These creatures, along with having twice the health of a Medusa, can deal increasing damage as you attempt to destroy them. As they are damaged they increase in size, which proportionately increases the damage their bullets deal. The easiest way to pass by them is to avoid dealing damage to them, as their initial damage output is very low.

Mini Bot

Mini Bot

These little jerks are everywhere and seem to know when you are focused on a big enemy, because that is when they strike. Alone these monsters are worthless but when you are fighting something that can insta-kill you in a 3 short hits, I suggest you be on the look out for pink, as their shots will confuse you for a short duration causing momentary disorientation.

The Boss, Dr. Terrible

Dr. Terrible

Dr. Terrible is the boss fight of only two directions to run, meaning you should never go left or right during this fight, you should start from the very middle of the hallway and either go up to attack him or down to dodge him or a confusion shot. Keeping to that will help you to avoid running into the gas which spawns into this room, dealing 200 damage per shot.

Treasure Room, Horrific Creation

Horrific Creation

This boss is the most powerful, most damaging boss ever (in sheer numbers anyways) and he is absolutely invincible. The only way to get him to be vulnerable is to get him to walk into the green acid. The only way to get him to do that is if one person, ONLY ONE, plays bait and stays tricks the beast into the acid. If you and someone else bait then it will be a long fight as you will both cancel each other out. Melees and priests are the best bait, but that is irrelevant as there is a method to be bait without ANYONE getting hit. When entering the Horrific Creations little kennel, everyone who is not bait should immediately go into the corners on the left. While the bait is going to work be ready at what ever pool of acid he is working on, ready to heal, boost or spam the boss. If you are the bait, enter the acid. Stay in the middle of the acid but move up and down to both get the boss's attention and avoid that lovely slowing shotgun he does when he lands. As soon as he lands run to the Blue acid pool and do your damage. When the Horrific Creation gets to half of his health, he will not immediately go into the chase phase after curing himself, he will now start to shoot at people once before he goes to chase, if he doesn't see anyone he can land on after he shoots at people then he will go back to shooting them again, and there are 15 shots total every time he does that. As the bait, you will have time to circle him 2 times and then go back into the acid to bait him in there. Make sure if you are bait you are an animal at all times until the boss is an animal then you can change back until he changes back.

Side Note(s)

There are some rumors saying that if you destroy the tables you may find in some rooms, you will get a greater or lesser amount of loot. These rumors are not confirmed.
