Dungeon Keys (Rev. 112)

Dungeon Keys open entrances to their respective dungeons when used.

Notes

  • Since Build 110, Keys are no longer dropped by monsters, with the exception of the Davy Jones’s Locker Key being dropped by the Beach Bum.
  • As of Build 111, Keys are purchasable in the Nexus for Realm Gold.
  • In Build 113, Keys were updated with new graphics that were created by ZOMBIZZLE, from the Realm of the Mad God Art Maker.
  • In June 2015 Pirate Cave and other low level keys were taken out of rotation in the Nexus shop, see official forum post on key removal. At the same time, the other keys were categorised as either Regular Tier or Premium Tier for pricing purposes in the Nexus shop, see official forum post on key pricing.
  • Players must have 10 Stars or higher in order to use dungeon keys. The only exception to this is the Vial of Pure Darkness, which does not have a star requirement.
  • All dungeon keys are Soulbound and have 200 feed power.

Historical Mystery Keys

Mystery Keys were originally introduced in 3 versions: Emerald, Ruby, and Diamond. Unlike the current Mystery Keys, these open the portal to a random dungeon when used instead of turning into a random key. The Emerald Mystery Key was the only one to be released, and could previously be obtained as a reward from The Alchemist. It is currently unobtainable but has not been removed from the game. The Ruby Mystery Key and the Diamond Mystery Key have never been released, and it was thought that Ruby and Diamond keys would open more valuable dungeons.

Special Keys

These keys only unlock a portal when used in a certain location. They are obtained as drops from enemies and are not sold for Realm Gold.

Wine Cellar Incantation

Wine Cellar Incantation
The Wine Cellar Incantation unlocks the portal to the Wine Cellar. It can only be used on the locked Wine Cellar Portal. If used anywhere else, it will disappear and be wasted. Unlike other keys, it has 500 feed power and is not soulbound. The item drops from most dungeon bosses, the Kage Kami, and the Phoenix Reborn.

Vial of Pure Darkness

Vial of Pure Darkness
The Vial of Pure Darkness unlocks the portal to The Void, where the Void Entity can be fought as the final boss of the Lost Halls. It must be used on the purple streaks in the middle of the Marble Colossus’s room after defeating it. Unlike other keys, it has 500 feed power. However, it is still soulbound. The item drops from Malus (guaranteed for one player).
