Toxic Sewers (Rev. 26)

The Toxic Sewers is a mid-level dungeon that is a source of Potions of Defense, the Murky Toxin and the Void Blade. Entrances to the Toxic Sewers are dropped from Slime Gods.

The Toxic Sewers Key is currently not available in the Nexus.

Notes:

• There is an abundance of toxic goo in the hallways which inflicts Sick for a few seconds. Don’t forget to step out of it every once in a while to heal!
• It’s very likely that the Slime Gods inside this dungeon have a higher chance to drop a Potion of Defense than their realm alternative (similar to that of the Sprite World and Abyss of Demons).
• When you are invisible you don’t get sick from the toxic goo.

Tips and Strategies

Note: These tips are general tips for all classes, and all players. Also, if you have lots of defense, some tips may not apply.

Try and stick to the sides of the hallways and on the walkways, as the sewer water applies sick which can result in your death! Notably, the water in the narrow hallways between rooms does NOT cause sick.

A cloaked rogue is not affected by the toxic water and will not get the sick effect.

Though you may have high defense, beware of Gulpord’s final phase, where he will flash red and rush at the nearest player. He may be big, but he moves fast and does large amounts of damage. Just to make it more of a pain, he is immune to stun at this phase, so knights are not as effective. If you have a Crystal Sword, now’s the time to use it.

An archer/huntress/sorc with slow are all great choices for Gulpord, as slowing him during his final phase can give you a lot more breathing room.
