Quest Monsters become flagged on a character’s screen in the form of a red arrow at the edge of their gameplay screen and a red dot on the map. There are three types of quest enemies: Wandering Quest Enemies, Setpiece Bosses and Event Bosses. You will only have one Quest on your screen and map at a time. The quests that are flagged depend on the character’s level. Many quest monsters in the realm have a chance at dropping portals to certain dungeons.
Most Dungeon Bosses are also marked as quest monsters and are described in their own page.
Wandering Quest Enemies
Setpiece Bosses
New Realm Bosses
Event Bosses
These enemies are what low level players will have as their quest icon, before they start getting Treasure Chest Bosses. The possibility to see them depend on your level range, which is +/- 5 of their Quest Level, unless there are no others left on the map. Since, obviously, the minimum can’t be below level 1, the table below shows the max that you will see them until the priority is shifted to a higher level Quest.
Non-Quest Enemies give only 10% of your total required EXP, but these give slightly higher. Scorpion Queen gives 20% of your total and the rest give 25%.

When a new world is created, Oryx creates a number of these bosses scattered throughout the world, and hence their name, they spawn in a specialized setpiece. Some of these bosses are like the Wandering Quest Bosses, in which they also give bonus max experience, allowing up to 50% of your total required EXP bar.
Some setpiece bosses are specifically classified as Heroes of Oryx. These bosses are required to be killed in order to close the Realm and take priority over the other Setpiece Bosses. Assuming you are Level 20, the list of highest to lowest priority heroes are as follows:
To make things more convenient, Oryx will periodically announce their numbers in the chat. When the last required boss is killed, Oryx will seal the Realm for 2 minutes to prevent more players joining before teleporting everyone to his Castle. A treasure chest with loot is located near most of these monsters.
Note that Evergreen Ents only spawned during Christmas 2017, and that Totalia only spawned during Halloween 2018.

Note that three of the bosses: Lich, Ent Ancient and Ghost King, are evaluation bosses. These won’t attack the player automatically. When attacked, these bosses start flashing. The more damage is done to the bosses during this phase, the stronger they become.
These quests are so named because players will typically see them in newly formed realms. All of them meet the criteria of wandering quest bosses, except they are Level 20 Quests (they take higher priority over all other quests except the Red Demon) and spawn only once per realm. None of these bosses have minions.

---|---|---|---|---|
Every time a Quest Boss (includes Event Bosses themselves) is killed, there’s a 10% chance that Oryx will randomly summon one of these bosses (Pumpkin Shrine and Zombie Horde no longer spawns). All Event Bosses are level 20 (therefore a range of level 15 to 20) and take higher priority than all quests besides New Realm Quest Bosses and the Red Demon.
The Avatar of the Forgotten King, Killer Bee Nest and Lost Sentry are not required to close the realm, although in the first case it will prevent you from locating the lower-tier quests (such as Liches and Ents) via the quest marker. The Ghost Ship and the Rock Dragon are both required, but will not block a realm from closing if they are spawned as the last Quest Boss is killed.
